Chicago wall art, for me, is all about capturing the city through light, lines, and rhythm. Alongside New York, Chicago has become a city I deeply appreciate: monumental architecture without coldness, paired with the raw energy of the streets. The city’s famous alleys, Chicago is known as the “alley capital” for a reason, feel like film sets at night. Light, shadow, and texture give my photography a distinctly cinematic character.
The Chicago skyline is, to me, one of the most beautiful in the world. One of my most memorable moments took place on an icy cold morning at North Avenue Beach. Lake Michigan was completely frozen and perfectly smooth, without a single snowflake. The ice acted as a flawless mirror, doubling the skyline in almost graphic symmetry. As the sun rose, the sky shifted into soft pink and blue tones. The combination of silence, cold, and light created pure magic, exactly the kind of moment that forms the foundation of my photography.
I prefer working during early mornings or in the evening, when the light softens and Chicago reveals its raw edge. Using a tripod, long exposures, and carefully considered compositions, I create images where architecture, reflections, and movement come together. In post‑processing, I look for a balance between graphic structure and atmosphere. Glass and steel, water and concrete, silence and motion, Chicago thrives on contrast. Each photograph is refined into wall art in which the city’s energy remains tangible.
